Day Off
Well, today was a "planned" day off the bike. Good thing though because this is what I woke up to and it looks like it'll be around all day. I'm not complaining though - I miss the sounds and smells of rain. This was actually a nice surprise. :-)

Phoenix Coffee House
This is one of my favorite coffee places to visit - great coffee, better than Starbucks even. Nice atmosphere and the people that work here are very friendly - unlike my last few visits to Starbucks. I'm beginning to wonder if it's all that dark green decor that makes everyone usually in a bad mood in most Starbucks. Phoenix is all about warm colors, original art and great customer service.
This was a nice ride, mostly through neighborhoods of stately homes built in the 1940s, and huge 100+ year old shade trees. At 7 a.m. on a Saturday - it was quiet too. Many birds and bunnies about - and the air smelled of many spring blossoms.

Friday
Found a very cool web site - "mapmyride.com" - so far, I like it a lot. It uses the GPS on my iphone to track the ride. Then computes miles, avg speed, elevation, and even calories. This is all based on info you enter when you register.
